I mean I understand their ground-breaking business model, but as far as the coffee goes... It's good coffee, but it's not any better than anyone else's coffee and twice the price.

Gutsy Writer I absolutely love Peets coffee. I don't drink the fancy drinks just the regular coffee with cream. It's stronger and smoother than any other coffee place I know and reminds me of my twenties living in Europe. Anyone else love Peets? If so why?

Daniel Wackerhagen I am an addict...not an afficionado. I'll drink just about anything from anywhere. Two years in Iraq, I'll drink the sludge at the bottom of the 100 cup coffee maker at the end of an 18 hour day! With that said I have really enjoyed McD's Machiatto...now I just learned they are terrible healthwise!! Should have known. Guess I'll have to go back to straight black again.

Tim Butler If you've never been to Cannon Beach, OR, it's a lovely coastal town with a beautiful landscape, cool shops, galleries...and great coffee. Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters will knock your socks off with their brand of fair trade organic products. Find them here...http://sleepymonkcoffee.com/

Ryan Paugh I have a ridiculous love-hate relationship with coffee. There are some days when the caffeine jolt makes me more productive, but other days where it makes me totally unfocused and anxious. I'm trying to decide if I should quit drinking coffee cold turkey or if I should just drink it less frequently. I'm not sure if life's worth living without an occasional good cup of coffee :)

Skinny vanilla caramel hazelnut and cinnamon dulce. Frappaccino lights are best. And above all else, skip the whip and use nonfat milk on mochas or pumpkin spice lattes.

@Sean, lol, I know right. Now that I'm not longer working at Starbucks the onus will fall on someone else to switch it up.

de Pace “The Pleasures and Pains of Coffee” by Honore de Balzac translated from the French by Robert Onopa Coffee is a great power in my life; I have observed its effects on an epic scale. Coffee roasts your insides. Many people claim coffee inspires them, but, as everybody knows, coffee only makes boring people even more boring. Think about it: although more grocery stores in Paris [http://wellness.weblog.com/%e2%80%9cthe-pleasures-and-pains-of-coffee%e2%80%9d-by-honore-de-balzac/]

I think even though it tastes a lot better than the regular stuff, people just cant pay a premium for instant coffee in a coffee shop.

It's really useful when you're going to a place with bad coffee for an extended period of time and you love coffee. I stocked up my dad with tons of via packages cuz he was traveling to Jamaica and it's hard to get a good cup.

what are your thoughts on reusable take-away coffee cups? Sure, they reduce a lot of waste, but should I limit my consumption further by just taking a regular mug with me to my coffee shop instead of buying another product? I do love the look of these things though: http://www.keepcup.com.au/ what are your thoughts?

Looked at keep cup and it looks good. Having said that I already have a thermal cup for carrying my coffee around. Mum got it for me :)

But more importantly, it's a shame that we haven't evolved into a society that is responsible enough to carry our mugs around with us. Unfortunately we are a very long way away from that

There are a few people at the campus where I'm writing my thesis doing this, and also a couple in my office! I guess I'm torn between a nice looking product geared at environmentally semi-conscious consumers, or the actual idea of reducing consumption.

Elizabeth Gunn I had Bluebottle Coffee for the first time this weekend when I was in San Francisco. I couldn't believe how much time and effort went into one cup. It was great! I don't think I can ever look at Starbucks the same way again. Have you tried Bluebottle? What do you think?

Patrick Pho Hey coffee lovers- I have a question for y'all! I'm sitting here at my desk sipping my ice coffee and checking work mail when I reached the end of my tasty, cold, delight! Now I have a cup full of ice and it makes me wonder if I'm getting less bang for my buck when I order an Iced Coffee. Sure the cup is bigger but the ice does take up more room... what do you guys think?
