Mehul Kar I've heard this a restaurant in Chicago that is somehow related to Chef Gordon Ramsay. Would anyone happen to know what I am talking about?

Ryan Paugh Going to Chicago next Thursday and Friday to work remote and hang out in the city. Anyone know of some great coworking spots to hang out during the day? Or even just cafes where people like to do work?

Ryan Paugh: Thanks you guys! Either of you going to be in the area? Would love to meet up for a coffee. Or even better, an after work cocktail.

Kristine Fetalco With the success of companies like Groupon and 37 Signals, Chicago is making a way in the tech/entrepreneurial space. Many graduates move to the coasts to work in technology, but I think Chicago has a lot of potential to establish a strong tech space here in the Midwest. How can Chicago succeed in creating that and attract technology companies? And what is it about Chicago that fosters tech entrepreneurship?

Kristine Fetalco: @Ryan: Can you recommend Chicago tech/start-up industry blogs? Or groups/events in that space? Would be interested in checking them out.

@Kevin: You're right about the VC concentration, and I hope that success stories from Chicago continue to grow to further Chicago's position in the tech scene.

@Micheal: Yes, Chicago has some of the best universities in the nation. Do you think graduates of the top Chicago universities stay in Chicago or do they usually move elsewhere? Graduates of top LA/California universities usually stay in place.. but I'm not sure if most of the time it's because of the weather/scene or career opportunities in the region.

Ryan Paugh Anyone going to Renegade Craft Fair this weekend in Wicker? I went last year with my girlfriend and found tons of cool stuff from t-shirts, to wall prints, to coffee mugs. I'll be there again tomorrow. If you like unusual, artsy stuff you should check it out. Maybe we'll get a chance to meet up, too. Here's a link for more: http://www.renegadecraft.com/chicago

Michael Lind It has seemed to me that over the past few years technical positions have been moving from IT departments into outsourcing providers. Are you seeing that? Where do you think the information technology opportunities for technical people will be?

john jiaones Ken..a few ideas. Contact http://www.taprootfoundation.org/ - for volunteer opportunities. Also, I'd suggest you also think about what you enjoy doing and have an interest in. As an example, if you like music, you could contact musicians to volunteer your skills. I enjoy pets and decided to help my vet with their web site. Granted its not paid work but its something valuable to put on your resume. No matter what a recruiter tells you, put all volunteer work on your resume,

Dave T Word Press is a good choice - Joomla and Drupal are others you may want to check out.

Many hosting companies will install a starter kit for you if you don't have the expertise. So check out http://www.asp.net/community/projects/ for the kits currently available. Hey they're free! Good luck!
