I think people would have gotten it better. Like we would have left with a more concrete understanding of how twitter can be integrated into our career goal. Pen's last point, bravery, was golden! Awesome insight. But she had to rush through it, in the chatroom people were kind of like huh? Then it was over. So yeah, I'd make the main point short, hold off on questions till the convo "thesis" is stated, then use responses to reinforce whatever u want us to walk away with.
:)
When you click the "reply" button on a community chatter element but are not signed in, you are prompted to sign up. Would it be possible to also add a login option here? I know you can just go sign in first, or sign in at the top of the page, but when following a link over from e-mail it'd be easier to sign in at this point than through one of the other methods.
That makes a lot of sense David. Can you give me an example of a link that you would receive via email that opens up one of these prompts? I'll talk to the dev guys about making the sign-in process easier.
Actually, let me illustrate this: http://www.twitpic.com/11ckc8, is the e-mail I got when you made this reply. http://www.twitpic.com/11ckiy, is where the circled link takes me. http://www.twitpic.com/11ckme, is the prompt I get when I try to reply to your comment without being logged in. Per my note in that image, I was asking if a login option could be added to the prompt itself.
Is there a feature on this site for me to leave a certain network? There are some networks that I have joined in the beginning that I have found out that, for some reason, I would be better off leaving the network as I don't want to scroll through excessive pages to head to the network discussion page. If not available, I think it may be useful implementation in the future.
Also, for those of you who missed Penelope and Ryan's chat from yesterday, Check out the highlight reel I made for them! http://bit.ly/bWImb1
Hey Guys, The only reason you would get kicked out of the room (other than being booted by the Host) would be because you had poor internet connection. You need 1MB download speed to view a Vokle eve,t you can find more FAQs here: http://vokle.com/faqs
I really loved that Penelope and Ryan did the webinar while sitting on a couch. For some reason it made the seminar relaxed yet focused. I believe the interaction between Penelope and Ryan, as well as the questions made the webinar much more lively and unexpected in a good way. I even think every webinar should take similar approach. It was a live version of blogging, so to say. (So we would ver much want to read/see the archive in the future)
Thanks for the great feedback. We're definitely going to do this again soon. I had a lot of fun connecting with you guys.
Last night was kind of a test. Everything went well, except for the recording. We had some problems and only got the first 20 minutes on tape. Next time we'll make sure the recording works properly.
The Webinar was great, but I did get kicked out (or it froze and I had to refresh) at least 3 or 4 times. It was great being able to chat during the webinar as well as read Twitter feeds. I feel like I made a lot of new friends by just reading the chat postings! Gotta go follow a bunch of people now!
Responding to the webinar, I liked the fact that questions can be submitted separately through video or text so that interesting conversations can go on while Ryan and Penelope were answering the questions. One thing that can be improved is to increase the character limits to the questions, as I had trouble phrasing it within 100 characters to ask what I really meant. By the way, I'm not sure if Penelope is also reading this, but I'm not sure how they made that gender mistake. I got quite dazed.
Hey Brazen folk, I just wanted to share some feedback about the video this evening. I LOVE that you answer questions, that's obviously the most valuable aspects of these video meetings. But you may want to make your main point succinct and deliver it as a starting point for convo in the beginning before taking questions. Like if you summarized why twitter could change your life in like 3 mins, then spent the rest of the time asking questions, and linking your responses back to your initial point
