Jim Armstrong During the last 619 days I have tracked each and every one of my expenses. After more than a year and a half I present to you my results and what small businesses can learn from my experiment. I would love to hear how you manage your personal finances, and if you're a small business owner, what accounting principles you apply on a day-to-day basis--> http://bit.ly/zEJzX1

Jim Armstrong How active are you all on Google +? Yesterday Google + unveiled its long-awaited pages for businesses and brands. I believe in first-mover advantage and think Google + can be a nice arrow in a brand's digital assets. What do you think? Here's my take on the platform--> http://bit.ly/rHPRML

I don't see G+ as a viable option for many businesses yet. It's far too embryonic at this point and really has not taken off. Personally I think it's well on its way to becoming the biggest small niche social network out there.

Hi Keith,

I really appreciate your feedback here. I absolutely agree with most of the points Robert makes in his post. I actually mention these in my article as features that we don't like (single admin access and no third-party applications access to Google + like Tweetdeck & Hootsuite).

I do believe that these kinks will be worked out. The one point that Robert focuses on in his post is the single admin access - a feature that will become multiple admin access in due time. As the platform currently stands, I do believe it is incomplete and could even be inadequate for some businesses. With this being said, I do believe Google will take feedback like this, refine their product and turn Google + into a force to be reckoned with.

Thanks again Keith, really appreciate your feedback.

Jim Armstrong Hey Brazen...hope you're having a great weekend. Random question but I thought I would tap into the community. My roommate is looking to re-locate to the North Carolina area (Raleigh/Durham & Charlotte would be his top choices). He has 2.5 years of experience as a media buyer at two established media agencies in NYC. Anyone know of any opps. in NC in marketing and/or strategy? He's looking to move from the media side to a more traditional marketing strategy role? Thanks guys!

Do we feel we are giving our best? Do we just want to earn some money from a job or do we want to live the job? Would I recommend my boss and our company to my best friends? So many things can give us the impetuous to move on! The lower down the hierarchy the more critical is the manager, the higher we reach the more critical is the company. So IMHO when an employee quits, is it usually because of a bad boss :)

People forget that theater and operas became popular for a very good reason - it was the only entertainment available.

These days, there is so much more.

If you want youngsters to attend theater, you need to give them something more than what they can get elsewhere. Otherwise, theater is going to die the death it deserves.

Kristen Creager I think titles of articles like this are ridiculous and overly negative. 3 Reasons Why The American Dream Isn’t Coming Back Anytime Soon http://read.bi/ffTCN5 What do you think? Is the "American Dream" dead?

That is correct, Raquel. The original meaning was tied to immigrants who came here fleeing persecutions of various sorts. Here they could worship as they wished, be a minority and be free (so they thought) and for those who came from countries with royalties and caste systems, they could indeed rise above their current class by working hard in America.

That meaning, as someone alluded to in the discussion above, has since been perverted by Wall Street and Madison Avenue to mean "own a house and a car, have a dog and 2.5 kids."

Everyone has different behaviors and tolerances after a few drinks. Know yourself and be realistic. I've seen a few drinks lead to some great team building when people relax a bit, and I've seen it tarnish a few careers as well when people relax a bit too much. YMMV as they say.
