Mehul Kar How do I restrict people from interacting with a Facebook fan page's content without first liking the page? For example, if users want to "like" a status update or an uploaded video, they MUST like the page first. Is this possible?

We can only try and steer their actions by picking what landing page they arrive at and then give them a good reason to LIKE the page. Yes, if they just want to post on your wall they can, but that is extremely valuable as well. Interaction on the page has become more important then a LIKE, after the recent Facebook changes. Hope this helps.

The notion that a 1,000 fans are better than a 100 is something that is deeply embedded in me, but I'm starting to realize that it's founded on a desire to have quantity over quality. And I guess that's not really that important when it comes down to it.

Mehul Kar Hey all. I need some help (likes) to reserve a vanity url for a fan page. I've asked the community here to help me out in the past, I'm hoping it will work again. I just need to get the url and then you are free to unlike (I actually encourage it). https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ninja-Tennis/171898706175230

Ebony Hillsman: I liked your fanpage, just because I was fascinated by the juxtaposition of ninja and tennis! Good luck!

Mehul Kar: Thanks. I got the url though, so the page is currently admin only. When it goes back up, I'll let you knwo so you can like it again. :)

Mehul Kar Does anyone know how to send facebook status updates to twitter (not necessarily a fan page update, but a profile update). There are plenty of applications for the other way around (twitter to fb). All the articles that pop up on googling are old and no longer relevant after twitter changed its authorization procedure.

Timothy Johnson III Hi everyone. I was curious if any of you might know of any freelancers or small business professionals around Woodbridge, NJ/Staten Island, NY that might be interested in "getting things done" in a co-working environment? In particular, I'd be interested in talking to people that are tired of working from home or out of a coffee shop, and want to work in a office space and interact with other people. Does that sound like anyone you know? If so, please comment and let me know! Thanks a lot!

Katie Colihan: How I wish I lived closer to you up there! I've considered renting office space, but it's always so expensive here in the city.

Ryan Paugh Glad to see a fellow Jersey guy doing us proud in today's Rock Your Career video on Facebook >> http://www.facebook.com/brazencareerist What do you all think about Timothy's advice? One thing that I've always wondered is when you should offer help to someone. Right away? Or wait until you've proved yourself to be useful? My guy of course tells me that you should wait until you've shown your worth, but how do you know? Let me know what you think here, or better yet over on our Facebook page.

Timothy Johnson III Hi everyone. Curious if anyone here are still huge fans of podcasts through iTunes. And if so, what are some of your favorites? One of my new favorites is Podrunner, which provides fantastic workout mixes for the gym!

Ryan Paugh We have a couple new Rock Your Career videos featured on our Facebook page this week. Check them out and leave some comments for your Brazen friends >> http://www.facebook.com/brazencareerist The most-recent one comes from Vanessa Van Petten who talks about how important it is to offer yourself up to people for help. How much time do you spend offering help to other people? Do you ever expect anything in return up front?

Ryan Paugh Hey guys -- Just wondering who you connect with and who you don't connect with on Facebook. Because of the transparent nature of my job it's difficult to not become friends w/ everybody. Luckily Facebook gives me a way to filter or else I wouldn't be able to manage it. Anyway, if you want to connect w/ me on Facebook you can do so here >> http://www.facebook.com/ryanpaugh Leave a link to your profile below if you want fellow Brazen members to follow you too.

I've found that using categories helps (as Timothy mentions) but it's still rather difficult. For awhile I considered keeping Facebook for JUST my offline connections but I couldn't do it because I really like being able to connect w/ you guys on a more personal platform and I enjoy being able to connect w/ you there too.
