Ryan Paugh Working on some new email options for Brazen members today. Got a few questions for you guys: 1. Do you read our weekly newsletter? What do you think about it? 2. How do you like to receive email notifications? Real time? Daily? Weekly? 3. What do you think we could do to make email notifications work better while still keeping you engaged and informed? There's lots of stuff to be fixed with email so I'm excited to hear what you guys think so we can start making changes.

Beyond newsletter updates what about your email notifications from Brazen and other sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Do you like those delivered in real time or as daily/weekly digest emails? There are probably some things that you want in real time and some things you only want periodically, right?

Maybe other's use post reputation for network weight, and so have a buy-in to get more and post more. I"m just here to be generous where I can.

Maybe an opt-in/opt-out option on each thread would be a good way to keep the emails from becoming too overwhelming for members like you? I've been thinking about that a lot ... any other ideas?

I do read the weekly newsletter and it is one of the few newsletters I don't immediately send to the Trash bin. Why? I find there is typically meaningful content in there vs fluff and sales stuff. Keep up the good work there :)

2. I have a mix of notifications set up for no reason other than I haven't gone through and set them all to Weekly, which is fine across the board. Receiving an e-mail every time someone leaves a comment is just too much for me.

3. EOD digests? Maybe send off a digest of the most active threads that I'm a participant of, once a day @ 4:30pm in my time zone (and of course do the same for everyone in their respective time zones).

I personally don't like getting updates from my social media accounts so I always opt-out. That works for me though b/c I'm on each of my accounts daily anyway so I catch updates when I log in.

I do however like the newsletter as it gives me a synopsis of things I might have missed when I wasn't logged on. In regards to frequency, I think that because it's fairly brief once a week works.
