You can also embrace the challenge of building a smaller organization into something larger.

The smaller organizations will not pay as much as let's say, the Red Cross but you will have more creative control.

Big or small, in the non-profit field it is more important to gravitate toward a cause you genuinely believe in. Non-profit work can be grueling sometimes, and is and should always be a labor of love.
