TOP IDEA: Josh Swindle Thank you notes! Stop using your companies pre printed thank you notes. You know the ones i'm talking about, everything is done for you and all you have to do is sign your name. Hand write a thank you note! Hand writing is much more personal and it shows you care.

I want a variety because you never know which will set the right tone...

In fact, I write everything out long hand, and even then it looks like a child wrote it. It is just something I have always had to deal with. (Might be a hand-nerve thing, I've never been able to figure it out.) I do sign my name in cursive, though.

So despite the more personal touch, I would probably print mine out on the computer, so as not to look like a joke.

Our designer, Mixed Media made us beautiful thank you cards, and we send them constantly. Plus, we are a non-profit organization so we always have a lot of people to thank, and have had donors calling us CRYING over the sweet card they received.

In today’s virtual world it is nice to get a simple handwritten note. Recruiters and hiring managers are like us…they can delete your thank you email, but I am sure a nice little thank you note will stay on their desk for while…

I have complete freeness of speech as I am not affiliated with them at all - but think it is a great idea for staying in touch with clients- and if it is used to retain customers, it's a business expense!

We plan on working with them in the near future, just focused on getting some other things in place first. I really like the idea, since I used to do stamping and embossing of cards, was a lot of fun at the time, but don't have time any more, and like the idea of still being able to do the personal touch without lugging out all my craft supplies and stamping for 5 hours non stop- LOL For now I still have some personal cards left and am using them- and everyone comments on how much they like them.
