I think this has a lot to do with brain development-engaging of frontal brain areas as we move out of adolescence (which can be up to the age of 25! The difference is that you can see ahead to what might happen later and choose your actions accordingly. Of course you may choose to just blast forth despite the consequences!

I haven't always blasted through everything. Just some things seem to bring that out in me more. Less so these days, but as I mentioned in the last line of the post, I still have that capacity in me when needed.

And sometimes maybe blasting through it more satisfying. In certain contexts.
