Ty Unglebower I am quickly finding that creating and populating lists, private and public, is the most fun aspect of Twitter for me. I have more on lists than I am following right now. I have some solid rules about who to list, and who to follow. But other accounts sort of fall in the middle. Usually people who tweet a thousand times an hour get listed, so they don't clog my feed. I follow people I feel I have a chance of actually talking to. How do all of you decide if you follow or if you list?

I use a "locked list" to follow other resume writers and am building a career-focused one for my (very few, as i just started) followers. I start following one guy who posts jobs but he was like a spigot you couldn't turn off...unfollowed him as he, like you said, clogged my feed.

I, too, want to have more of a relationship of sorts with my twitter business community. (ok, I do follow @shitmydadsays who doesn't have a thing to do with business but is funnier than shit)

Everyone I follow is on a list. And in Tweetdeck I pay attention to some lists more than others. the generic "followback" list. If after a certain period of time, I don't recognize a username, i'll usually unfollow, because it means i never read their tweets anyway, or tried to connect in other places.
