This week, a new (?) idea launched in the U.S. It’s called 48 Hour Magazine. I say the U.S. because this idea was actually already done in Galway, Ireland a few weeks ago, though on a different scale. You can download their issue here.

I love playing around with Wordpress themes. By keeping the content seperate from the skin, Wordpress makes it easy to preview your blog in different themes. I must download about five every month just to try them out.

I'm a quitter. I've tried everything, and I've quit everything. When I was a kid, I played soccer for a week, took piano for a few months, art lessons after school for a semester. Over the weekend, we turned on a new theme called Twenty Ten. Twenty Ten is a big deal for us — it’s our first update to the “default” theme (the one you see when you start a new blog) on WordPress.com. Our goal with Twenty Ten was to create something stylish, customizable, simple, and most of all, readable.

Just to ride on the recent DS/WarioWare high, I finally got Tim to bring my wireless router back to me so I could download all of those Ninsoft games.

My friend-code is 2751 3945 0117 and my nickname is Jenothy.  Please give me yours so we can start sharing games and whatnot!

Core77: Rocket Design’s furniture for music lovers

At first I thought “oh hey these are cool,” and then I imagined something like this in my house and realized I would never be able to take myself seriously again.

Gone are the days when offices were typically cubicle, surrounded by white walls and lit by white fluorescent lights. Thanks to corporate giants like Google and Pixar that have demonstrated tremendous success despite their unconventional workplaces, more people are embracing the idea that creative work environment helps stimulate minds and inspire innovation.

As a sophomore in college, I applied for and was accepted to a new graphic design program at a large state university. Hundreds applied, only 15-20 were accepted, so I was feeling pretty much like a hot shot. Our first class met in a little room off of an art computer lab. Really interesting article in The Boston Globe about cognitive fluency, which is a measure of how easy it is to think about something.
