Finally, a Twitter application for my BlackBerry that doesn’t make me wonder why any number of functionalities were overlooked.

It’s got lists and pings… and it doesn’t arbitrarily indicate numbers of replies or DMs (Twitterberry, are you listening?)

If you’re a liar, a manipulator, a deceiver, the only person you’re hiding from is yourself. Your struggle for self-esteem comes through power over others. It’s OK. We’re all a little bit like that.

You know who you are.

You tell us you will get it done – and you don’t.

You tell us you got it done – and you didn’t.

You tell us where you will be – and you are not.

Take an ad for example:

You can read it as a consumer and become aware and interested in the product.

You can read it as a copywriter and note the use of language to attract the consumer.

You can read it as a marketer and notice the fonts, pictures and empty spaces geared to draw your attention.

When Creating content think about an inverted (upside-down) pyramid.
Always include your most important information and points first

Google isn’t just thinking of Wave as another web app that it creates and you use on one site — it wants you to be able to use it across all sites on the web. Say, for example, you have a blog. As a post, you could share a wave with the public and allow others to see what you and the other people in your wave are doing.

The pat on the back. A kind gesture, thumbs up, or high five. Verbal compliment. What do these all have in common? They are sunlight for the human soul.

Recently an insightful speaker at a Toastmasters meeting painted a clear picture of the importance of praise. Particular how to deliver it. Besides being identified as a basic human need, thanks to Maslow, its also an effective means to better connect with others.

Similarly, there is no progress without eustress, and the more eustress we can create or apply to our lives, the soon we can actualize our dreams. The trick is telling the two apart. – Tim Ferriss, The Four Hour Work Week (via Quoty)
