There is more to a company blog than just words on a screen or server space somewhere in the Internet–there is a voice. If that person moves on, that social media space won’t work the same. Our voices are what make our blogs and tweets and everything unique.
I think these are all important things to consider / remember when assessing and building up a personal brand and just being a better person in general. If you want your brand to reflect honesty, you must first be honest.
Growing up I was the shy kid. Since entering the professional world I’ve realized that sitting back and waiting for others is going to leave me waiting for the rest of my life. That’s not the way I wanted to live. So here’s how I snapped out of it.
Personally I think it’s got to be a give and take. I think we probably do have some unrealistic expectations. However, I also think that companies need to make their own changes.
Gen Y grew up when TV was king. Billboards, radio and TV commercials saturated our childhood. I think at this point we’re done. We want something that’s going to entertain us, not try to blatantly sell us.
