Rich doesn’t look old enough to be a Marketing and Social Media consultant, but don’t let his baby faced features fool you, he has a brain born for business.
Rich lives in the beautiful regency town of Cheltenham. When Rich isn’t working for his (few) clients, or drinking, he can often be found at the University of Gloucestershire studying for his Marketing degree.
Rich has more experience than your average student. Rich began freelancing aged 15, contributing gaming features to magazines including PCFormat, PCGamer, Edge, New Statesman and Computer Active. For a while he even had the dream job of flying around the world reporting on gaming tournaments. Once he was sent to Las Vegas for 12 days, but the event was tragically cancelled on the 2nd leaving him stranded in his hotel room for 10 days…
Rich spent a year working at a wonderful Cheltenham-based agency called apt marketing & PR. During this time he secured coverage for clients on GMTV and in The Sun, Daily Mirror, The Guardian, Daily Mail, Daily Express and many more. Rich also launched the Social Media division of the company, which secured its own client within the first month.
Since he finished his placement, Rich has continued to work in Marketing, PR and Social Media as a rogue freelancer. He’s even enjoyed spells of copywriting for the UK’s fastest growing student society. Not too shabby, if he does say so himself. Richard hates to brag, luckily the youngest ever business writer for the Western Daily Press rarely needs to.
