I’m Michael Cecchin, I live my life walking a fine line between steady progression and self-destruction. I hang my hat just outside Toronto, Ontario and I’m currently exploring the world away from cubicles and shotty middle management.
I was born into a catholic family but eventually found that thinking for myself is a lot more fun. Go figure. I’ve found with a secular life I could keep my same moral compass without any of the guilt and repression I had with religion. Plus I’ve gained an hour on Sundays…sweeet.
I've traveled extensively through Europe and worked professionally in both London, England and Barcelona, Spain for periods of 3 and 6 months respectively. I am absolutely a better person for those experiences and I recommend a change of scenery to anyone reading this. The perspective you receive on different lifestyles, different cultures, and yourself will impact you both subtly and drastically. Seriously. Life is nothing without new experiences and I recommend venturing outside the tidy, brightly packaged, non-biodegradable box that is North America.
I am a big believer that this is the only life we get and I think that its worth whatever battles you must endure to get what you want out of it, be it emotional or physical.
I’d like my blog – Perfectly Turbulent - to be a working metaphor for the lives of its readers. I subscribe to the school of thought that happiness is nothing but an intangible goal. Life is about tolerance, perseverance and the wisdom to not search for ultimate happiness but just to wait for the little pockets of joy that come along and learn to embrace them with a passion of a lifetime because you never know what may come next.
When reading my blog I want people to be thinking, laughing or naked.
Drive fast. Take Chances.
Michael Cecchin's blog is Perfectly Turbulent.
