Christien Louviere graduated from LSU in 2003 with a degree in Political Science. He quickly dove into business development at CBS’ outdoor advertising division in New Orleans where he used his entrepreneurial attitude and creative skills to help breathe new life into a seemingly “old” medium. Since then, he has worked with major advertisers to create non-traditional outdoor campaigns ranging from Bluetooth media to dry cleaner bags.
He launched his personal blog in 2004 which focuses on his profound interest of how technology combines with advertising to influence our everyday lives. His writing aims to help bridge the gap that exists between Gen-Y and Gen-X/Boomers. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, he focused on the various ways that the destruction caused pain for people across all demographics. This time was a tipping point for his writing as he realized there was an increased need for generational understanding. Christien believes that something BIG was messed up in the passing of our culture from the Boomers to Gen-X and considers it Gen-Y’s responsibility to get us back on track. We all need to listen a bit more.
Christien resides in Atlanta where he manages sales in the southeast region for Ambient Planet. At night, he spends time working with his team on a new blog/ecommerce site set to launch in June. In his free time, he enjoys watching any sport, playing basketball and soccer, writing, trying new restaurants and traveling to New Orleans to visit his family.
Christien Louviere's blog is ChristienLouviere.com.
I went into Starbucks today to nab an Iced Mocha to get my creative juices flowing. Upon paying, I was granted a receipt that announced my next iced grande beverage would be only $2. The catch is that it has to be:
• The same day at the same store
• It also has to be after […]
In today’s world, where the personal brand is so vital and so much of our personal lives are just a ‘Google Search’ away, how honest are we allowed or supposed to be with our clients, employers and readers? Is anything off limits today? What do these people expect?
Who cares who is elected to replace “W” this coming November? At this point, I do not. I do not care because neither is making the decision easy for me.
The point is that if you’re going to sell, then you have to look the part. It doesn’t matter if you’re in sales or not, you need to dress for the position you want because you’re always selling yourself.
Three months of planning and preparation went into the engagement night, so I’ve decided to give you the whole story about the night I asked Heather Platt to be my wife. I think that’s what I said to her.
George Costanza once said, “Interest…it’s an amazing thing. You can make money without doing anything.” He was half correct because you have to put the pieces in place to work for you. Here are 5 ways to get your money working for you.
They say you learn something new every day.
Lately, I’ve been putting a lot of time into honing my SEO skills. A great starting point for anyone beginning on this trek is to use the vast array of free tools out there. A great starter tool is Google Analytics. I’m amazed the amount of information I […]
A view on how mobile internet devices will affect the future of mobile content distribution.
So this weekend I had to go without the Internet at my complex. There are times where I will purposely not use the Internet, so I can focus on other things. I had to play host to two special guests, so I didn’t have much time to really worry about it; but it always interests […]
I recently made a post about Nike understanding what athletes are about. The Cinderella commercial I referenced was about doing whatever, whenever to get where you want to go. The newest commercial is about their Nike SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, Quickness) training program. To most athletes, SPARQ is nothing new. It […]
