Brazen Careerist Launches Infographic Resume App for Facebook
Washington, D.C., September 6, 2011 - Brazen Careerist, the premier career management resource for young professionals, launched a new Facebook application today that generates an infographic resume from a user’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles.
“Sites like Facebook and LinkedIn have rapidly become go-to resources for recruiters to find top candidates,” said Brazen Co-Founder & COO Ryan Healy. “Our app is a fun way to help our generation make sure they put their best foot forward in the online world by encouraging professional, up-to-date profiles across social networks. We're excited to launch this product and continue to optimize it as we hear from our community."
The Facebook application is the latest product launch for Brazen Careerist, which has grown from a blogger-centrist community to a full spectrum career-management resource. Brazen Careerist is an online home where young professionals can engage in career discussions with their peers, read career-focused content on its blog Brazen Life, participate in online networking and recruiting events – as recently featured on CNN – and attend professional development online courses and bootcamps at BrazenU.
In addition to the infographic resume, the application also gives career feedback and tips through its Career Portfolio, awarding users with badges for their career strengths and offering tips to earn more. Users can earn the Smart Ass badge for having a graduate degree, a Debt Saver badge for attending a top 100 best-value school, and the Schmoozer badge for having over 500 connections on LinkedIn. The user’s badge count is calculated into a “Career Success Score." Schools and companies with the highest average Career Success Scores are added to the app's leaderboard. Users can also change the color palate of their infographic resume, with themes like Hip Start-Up, Happy Hour and Gotta Promotion.
“An infographic resume is a creative and unique way to show an employer who you are and what you bring to the table,” said Healy. “It can help young professionals stand out from the crowd, which is what Brazen Careerist is all about.”
