Who is women’s best friend?

No, not diamond. At least, in social media, food/beverage brands seem to be women’s best friends.
A survey by SheSpeaks and iVillage has revealed that 36% of the female respondents are a Facebook fan or Twitter follower of at least one food/beverage brand. Second in place, unsurprisingly, are health/beauty brands at 32%.
So, this study has clearly laid out what female Internet users are most interested in. If you’re a restaurant with presence in Twitter and Facebook, there is a high tendency that most of your loyal customers are females. Well, if you own a restaurant and wish to promote word of mouth among the ladies, maybe it’s time to offer some promotion that caters exclusively for the female group on social media.
