It’s employee appreciation week where I work and I have to be honest with you, before the week started I thought it was a bunch of crap. I didn’t really think that Millennials cared if they were appreciated. I care if I get to work on big projects, and I care if I get big opportunities, but do I really care about being appreciated?
Well I maybe didn’t before, but I do now! I loved employee appreciation week! It really made me feel like someone higher-up than just my manager was recognizing me for all the hard work I have been doing.
And to top the whole week off, National Instruments was voted one of the 100 best companies to work for. For the 11th year in a row!
Here I am celebrating at the deck party:
PR team members hanging out with NIgel at the deck party!
So maybe all Millennials don’t care if they are appreciated at work. But I know I do!
I think that it is great that you feel that way! How can someone not want to feel appreciated? If the act of appreciation is sincere, it just makes you feel like you are part of the team and happy to be their.
Congrats on National Instruments being voted one of the top 100 companies to work for!! Awesome!!
