This post was validating. My (single) friends and I have been talking about this a lot lately, partially because family are all asking these questions around the holidays. When you are younger, you have an idea of how your life will go, and when you are 'supposed' to settle down. In the meantime, you develop a meaningful career, build a network of friends/colleagues, and the idea of getting tied down to one big commitment doesn't seem like good timing. Life's complicated, plans change, and being true to yourself means prioritizing what's most important.
