AND WE HAVE A WINNER!
I’m pleased to announce that our Brazen Careerist Blogger of 2009 is Colleen Dilenschneider (@cdilly)! Congratulations to Colleen, we’ll be sending you a $150 Amazon.com gift card.
In addition, I’d like to congratulate John Lee, Brette Sember and Forest on Finance. Because you took the time to vote in our Best of 2009 Contest you were entered into a raffle to win one of three $20 Starbuck’s gift cards. And guess what? You won!
This contest meant a lot to me because it was a chance to show our appreciation to members that make Brazen Careerist such a great community to be a part of. Sincere thanks go out to everyone who took the time to become a member and share their ideas in 2009. We hope that you’ll stick with us for all of the exciting things to come in 2010.
With that said, I want to use the rest of this post to tell you about our contest winner and Blogger of 2009, Colleen Dilenschneider:
As a museum aficionado, Colleen’s blog is cleverly titled Know Your Own Bone. She’s currently a nonprofit program producer, education advocate and graduate student in Public Administration—Nonprofit Management at USC’s School of Policy, Planning and Development.
Colleen grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago with double majors in English and Visual Arts. After graduation, she moved to Seattle where she produced 45 public events as the Special Events Coordinator at Pacific Science Center and also received a professional certification in Public Relations from the University of Washington (busy girl, huh?).
To get a glimpse of the more zany side of Colleen’s work, check out the video below. It’s a television commercial that she narrated for an exhibit called Animal Grossology at Pacific Science Center.
When Colleen’s not busy being a full-time grad student in LA, she’s thinking of new ways to engage her local community as Nonprofit Co-Chair of USC’s Graduate Policy and Administration Community. Or, she’s keeping her passion for art alive by assisting the MFA Program at USC’s Roski School of Fine Arts.
Congratulations again to Colleen! You’ve achieved so much in such a short amount of time. We’re happy to have you as a leading member of Brazen Careerist!
Happy Holidays to everybody in the Brazen Careerist Community! We’ll see you all in 2010!
Cheers!
-Ryan Paugh, Director of Community
