I have been very faithful to my Blackberry for quite some time. By faithful I mean upgrading when a new version arrives and defending the Blackberry every time the Blackberry vs. iPhone talk comes up. Now that I think about it, the iPhone users are always the troublemakers. (hey I don’t blame them the iPhone is one sexy phone)

Long story short, if my Blackberry freezes one more time it will end up out my window. But I have a few questions.

How good is this iPhone? It sure looks nice but we all know looks aren’t everything. I have a t-mobile account and do not want to switch to AT&T. After having the phone unlocked, do all functions work properly?

Or should I just purchase a new Blackberry?

What? No Palm Pre or Google Android using phone? No Windows Mobile 7.0?

WELL, since you ask opinion. I will give it to you.

My b/f has had an iphone for 2 years. He has Tmobile and because he is super tech-sevvy, it has always worked for him.

When he someone got his hands on the 3GS I was able to inherit his old iphone. In order to use it, I had to switch from Spring to Tmobile. So I did. And just in case anything crazy happened to my iphone, I bought a Blackberry as a backup. I also spent the next two weeks trying to figure the damn thing out. I'm not an idiot when it comes to phones, but the Blackberry is NOT User-friendly.

My iphone works. I don't get visual voicemail, but since I've never had it, I don't really care. My tmobile service works great-I get my data, messages, calls, etc like usual. Put simple: It works.

The trick? Being careful not to update your iphone software before it has been 'unlocked'. If you update before it is safe, your phone is locked and you lose your privileges.

Other than that, its fine. I can still update my info from my computer to my iphone, I set it on manually update.

My iphone doesn't freeze either, like most Mac products. :)

I hope this helps, and I sure hope mine keeps working so I don't have to try and figure out how to use my un-user friendly Blackberry again. :)

Blackberry all the way. If your blackberry is freezing, maybe you have too apps installed or too many documents stored in phone memory instead of add-on microsd card. You have use a jailbroken iPhone on T-mobile but don't quote me on that

I like both Blackberry & iphone. When it comes to my Blackberry I restricted it for work only. My iphone, what can I say, I like the available apps that can only be used with iphone. I am a tech savy and like to experiment with different apps, not only for work but also for fun. Have fun with iphone :)

Have you though of the G-phone from T-mobile?

I neither care for Blackberry nor iphone. For me Nokia Symbian smartphones are the best.Currently i own Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and I'm happy with it.
