Great post, Amber. I love the analogies and think you're right on re: "the secrets." I also use Brazen to discover new, fresh-face bloggers. People that aren't as established tend to have a clearer, more interesting voice which gives my motivation and ideas for my own blog.

Amber, thanks again for writing this post. You ROCK!

One of my favorite parts about working at Brazen is giving bloggers with little following a chance to be on the center stage. You learn a lot about yourself when you're faced with the possibility of being totally criticized.

Some of my favorite Gen-Y bloggers are one who early on took a chance at writing something extremely provocative for the Community. Whether they were right or wrong at the time, they learned a lot about who they were and they certainly made an impression.

Thanks for reminding us that there are so many ways to use Brazen other than the ones that we place right in front of you. And to anyone looking to put some of these hidden features to good use, give me a shout and I'll be happy to help!

Love the dance analogy—who could forget those years? Thankfully Brazen is not nearly as awkward as those oh-so-vivid middle school memories haha.

One perhaps not so secret feature is motivation. I see other young bloggers out there writing great posts and it motivates me to work hard to write meaningful posts.

Now I've just got to try to think of something controversial to grind a few gears...

Right on @Amber!

Similar to @Drew, Brazen inspires me to be a better writer. While not everyone may care, I actually feel it is quite an accomplishment if I can consider myself a good writer. When you see what people are contributing to Brazen, it makes me step up my game. I'm much more thoughtful about my own writing and find inspiration in new places.

Thanks Amber and Brazen!

Nicely written, Amber! There's always more than one way to look at things, and you have illustrated very well how that can become an advantage.
