Thanks, Tom. Along the same lines as criticizing and getting angry, your overall tone during discussions will impact whether or not people buy in to your suggestions or shut down. Even if you know the right answer, sometimes it helps if you present it as a question instead of a statement.
I have another one--acting too comfortable. I am not refering to feeling at ease and yourself with coworkers, but instead sharing too much of your personal life in the office without maintaining a sense of professionalism. While this can go along with complaining/gossiping, it is a bit different in that people may be a bit too honest with collegues without discriminating about what is and is not appropriate for conversations between 9-5.
