I like motivational talks. Like this one from Gary Vaynerchuk. I get all excited and pumped and ready to work.
Then I get stuck. Interminably stuck. Because I’m really excited and pumped to work, but for what? I’m a lucky person, but I wonder is this it? Really? Because I thought there might be more.

Great post. I wrote a similar post the other week and I completely agree. If Gen Y can't find boundaries, a path, a direction, then we'll be known as the generation that had the most opportunities and the biggest dreams, but did nothing about it. I hope that as we mature as a Generation, we start to take advantage of what we have and start accomplishing the lofty visions that we seek, both of ourselves and of the world. And it's true, we definitely have delayed things in our lives, but hey, better late than never.

Sounds like a lot of things I heard 15 or so years ago, except then it was said about Gen X.
Most of my friends from high school in CA remain unmarried and without children. My wife is from IL and most of her friends are married, have children, and more traditional careers etc. It seems that this issue of boundaries, accountability, and restrictions varies. Culture in Southern CA (broadly speaking) is much different than IL.
Also, the Internet has no bounds, and maybe this has something to do with it. Those who spend hours and hours online may have a different point of view than those who do not.
