The other day, I attended a great conference with a fellow entrepreneur. What I loved about the conference is that it was all about entrepreneurs sharing their stories about the struggles they have encountered. Sometimes as entrepreneurs we tend to keep everything inside. We typically do not like to show vulnerability for fear of what others may think.
However, possessing this mindset will only cause you to suffer needless frustration. The goal of entrepreneurship is to be successful and therefore entrepreneurs must realize that we're all in this together. Successful entrepreneurs do not make it to the top alone. They get there by learning from those brave and candid enough to share their mistakes. In order to decrease the time it takes to get to the top, entrepreneurs (especially during a recession) can't afford nor have the time to experience all the obstacles they are sure to encounter on their way to the top. Therefore, I strongly believe successful entrepreneurs should give back by helping others succeed by sharing their mistakes.
Everyone has a desire to experience the taste of success. In my opinion, successful entrepreneurs are in a position to help fellow entrepreneurs get a piece of the pie, so why not do your part in helping someone get a slice?
