With information and expectation coming at us from so many angles (and at such speed), it's easy to fall into the trap of adding only marginal value to a multitude of endeavors. The reality of this quantity over quality approach is that you'll never optimize your performance to demonstrate your true potential. And the recipients of your contribution will never see all that you might have been able to deliver for them. My preference therefore is always to focus upon quality over quantity. By setting focused but truly meaningful goals, you'll not only add material (rather than marginal) value to those you impact but you'll achieve a level of self fulfillment unbeknown to the generalists who fail to commit to achieving something truly great.
