In an attempt to make Facebook more business friendly and broaden demographics, the website has been taking notes from fellow social networking site, Twitter.
It has given itself a makeover with emphasis on the new “What’s on your mind?” feature. What used to be the space for a person’s “status” during the day, has become an area that one can put pretty mu

I don't think there's anyone on BC that doesn't know about the week-old Facebook redesign, or its new features. Were you stuck for ideas about what to write? Because this is like writing to Clark Howard about how credit scores work.
Wow anna that was rude.
The one feature I would like to see on Facebook is the ability to advertise, for free, to your friends using the ad system.
This way you can post anything you are trying to sell or get rid of, when you are throwing a party, a special event to go to.
It makes sense to pay for advertising to people you DON'T know but the ad system is automated and should be open for the type of use I am looking for!
Just my thoughts.

Hi Anna-
Brazen careerist randomly picks posts off my blog to showcase here. While everyone on BC may know abt the new FB, I can guarantee it that not everyone of my blog readers does. Hence-the post. Which, btw, was written by our newest intern-Erin Connoly.
Hey Chris and Jimmy-
There is such a thing called Marketplace where you can do that, but yes-I think ads like that are a great idea!

@Shama: Great overview. I think a majority of the people on Brazen do know about the new Facebook changes, but the debate continues as to whether it's a good or a bad thing.
I've been listening to a lot of people complain about the new format. This post is a good catalyst to ignite that debate.
@Shama great overview of Facebook's new features. The day it went live I saw my Fbook status updates filled with bitter "hate the new layout," or "why does Facebook keep changing," however, now that people have adjusted and it has settled in, the chatter is quieter.
I think a lot of people resist change. For the most part, something as prophetic and big as Facebook, isn't going to make a horrible not well-planned release. I was just thinking today how they've now incorporated each of the biggest social media tools (ie. Twitter, Flickr) into their platform. The "real stream" of updates, conversations, photos and interaction is one of the greatest new parts.
Thanks again, Shama. I am interested in seeing what other people think, as well.
