Let's see here. I joined Brazen back in mid January, just a hair past a month ago. To me, it seems like I've been in this community for as long as I can remember, but I'm relatively a newbie. When Ryan Paugh (BC Community Manager) asked me to write a guest post for the company blog, I knew exactly what I would write about. I knew I wanted to share with you all how to make the most of Brazen, just like I have in the short time I've been involved.
I really enjoyed your tips. I have to say I can never figure out how Brazen chooses to feature blogs. I am absolutely honored when one of my posts are featured, but it is not always the posts I would've chosen! That's quite OK though.
I guess I want to point out that Brazen has a certain audience, and if you really want to be original, your own blog isn't always going to be that exact audience, in my opinion. So for anyone out there who isn't always featured, I don't believe that means your blog is bad.
(Please note that I have nothing but love for you, Brazen, for helping me market my blog!!!)
Another amazing post Jamie. I love it.
Adding on to #10, I think that linking to and sharing other useful outside blogs and outside sources is another great way to make connections with what you are saying, link and inform people, as well as help people with their career and life decisions. The Brazen Community is a comfy little world with convenient access to amazing blogs, but there is a much bigger world outside of it.

Great post Jamie, these are all totally right :) Actually the only one I'd disagree with is the one about getting followup comments emailed to you. I hate checking that box because then I get every comment sent to me and with some blogs that turns into a lot of unnecessary email (like with P trunk's blog - I am never marking "email me about replies" again). If I comment on something and I'm curious to see how the author responds, I'll check back on that post later on rather than get all the tons of other comments in my inbox....
Jamie, I absolutely love your post. I can personally attest to being inspired by the blogs that I read on this site. I am a "newbie" on this site, but I am very happy that I found a place that embraces the many talents that Generation-Y has to offer society.
I especially agree with point number 5. You should not be discouraged when people disagree with you-the mere fact that someone felt strong enough to voice their dissent means that you have accomplished what I believe is the true goal of blogging--generating thought provoking discussions.
Thanks again for sharing these tips.

Great post Jamie, my question, which might be worth a followup post from you, is what is the VALUE in being a Brazen rockstar? What are peeps getting out of Brazen and why should we be on there, besides to drive traffic to our individual blogs. (I get a lot of value, just wanted to throw it out there...)
Great post, and great tips on how to make the most of this site. I think if you want to get featured, you definitely have to write something that can spark discussion - I got featured once, but it wasn't really a controversial argument so people had nothing to say about it. Next time, I'll try to write a few posts with the Brazen audience in mind :)
I didn’t know that there is so much functionality. Thank you for your ideas, I will try to update my details and certainly will try to write a blog post. Jill from brand puppy food.
