I'm so inspired this December by all the new and engaging ways that non-profits are branching out to find new volunteers, educate their volunteers and donors, and raising money. Here are just a few and it's not too late to get involved:

This is an idea for volunteers all around America involved with community outreach.I was randomly searching the web the other day and came across the Sullivan Report. He states that by providing the lower income groups with a pre paid cell phone like Tracfone they not only get instant access to emergency services like 911 but they also gain the ability to work from anywhere and thus improve their chances of creating business for themselves. He says that blue collar workers derive far more business benefit from cell phones than white collar workers. So how can we implement this into our community service? Well, I understand that Tracfone is already involved in subsidizing phones to the lower income group, we could assist in applications and then help people to see the benefit and business potential of combining their particular skills with a cell phone and the advantages of advertising themselves. This could be a whole new road to self empowerment.
