I’m stressed out. I’m stressed about money. I’m stressed because we’re rolling out a big feature that should change the way people interact on Brazen Careerist. I’m stressed because we can’t seem to hit a development deadline to save our lives. And I’m stressed because I’m traveling to New York and Boston all next week, right in the middle of all this chaos. But most of all I’m stressed because after what happened on Monday, I think that being stressed out is a total waste

Ryan,

I am sorry for your loss. All the little things are really important. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Val's family and friends.

Truly touching post. I'm so sorry for you loss, and thank you for sharing. It's so important to put things in perspective like this. My mom is having panic attacks today mostly over things she can't control (possible layoffs, the election, etc) and I reminded her you are only hurting yourself when you stress about things you can't control. This adds a whole new dimension to that discussion.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's death. It is so unfair when people die so young...It can't help but make you stop in your tracks and re-evaluate - both the "little" things and the "big stuff." While it probably isn't fair to judge everything we do or think against a tragedy, putting things in perspective is important.

Stopping to think about goals, appreciating the good things in life and recognizing what is really important - these aren't things that most "busy" people do all of the time. What a nice way to honor and remember your friend and to help keep her memory alive.

Ryan

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece of writing with me. It gives me such comfort to know that you, and everyone else, looked at Val the same; beautiful, kind, outgoing, and not caring what others thought of her. The ceremonies for her were amazing. We shared laughs, tears, and memories...but that is how she would have wanted it. Much love to you.

Hey Ryan,

I know its been a long time but I just saw the link to your post on facebook. That is a great piece you wrote about Val. She was a great friend to us all and will always be remembered for the way she touched our lives. She truly was one of the most positive people I have ever met who was always there for us all at difficult times. She will always be missed.

I agree with your rule number 6. I was one of the interview panelists for new coordinator position. The successful candidate was doing the presentation much better than the others, and that was one of the reason why the candidate got the new position. dr dan pompa

Highly useful article. Myself & my neighbor were preparing to do some research about that. We got a first-rate book on that matter from our local library and most books were not as descriptive as your information. I am highly glad to see such information which I was searching for a long time. TaxAct

I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not tht good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show it to my friend and he enjoyed it as well! Replacement Windows
