The trick, of course, is that when your community is made up of people who are like you, they are more likely to reinforce your shit than to call you on it.
And it's okay to want to be alone sometimes. It's okay to actually BE alone sometimes. Solitude also provides insight.
Each of us is part of a community. But each of us is also an individual. It's fine to spend time on both of those truths.
