After watching the debate tonight, I figured I’d translate what both candidates were saying. Sorry I’m not as politically correct as them, but I hope this is informative.

Wow, great article. Thanks!

I bought a house during the first year of employment after college. My mortgage payments were over 60% of my monthly after taxes income. I don't know how I got that house, because it would be impossible to live on the remaining difference. I, of course, had a plan and managed just fine. But not everyone thinks things through and is responsible. So many people don't care about numbers, they think they deserve to own houses and then end up in foreclosure.

You can't tell Americans what we can't have. That's what Jimmy Carter did, and look where it got him.

In truth, we want to be told that we can drive an SUV, own a home, eat 18 hamburgers a day, leave all 3 of our computers running 24-7, and buy it all on credit without any consequences at all.

The nation itself has this philosophy, not just individuals. We have been borrowing from foreign nations in order to finance our hogfucks in Iraq and Afghanistan for too long. The day will come when China and our other creditors will want their money back, and the crazy people running things will decide they'd rather bomb them back to the stone age than pay up.

Welcome to the early stages of World War 3.

God bless America!

This is the time of year when, every time the phone rings here at Veritas Prep HQ, there's a good chance it's an applicant calling to ask us if he should apply to business school in the third admissions round, or if he should wait until next year. The answer, as is the answer for most things in life, is "It depends."

Personal Branding

When I embarked on my blog journey last December, I thought of it as just an extension of who I was, professionally and personally. I also looked at the blog as a way of being creative. It’s become more than that to me and those of you that read this. My blog is now part of my personal brand.
