Do you ever reach a point in the day when you feel like you just can’t think anymore? Do you want to exercise more during the week but find it inconvenient to do so? Are you too tired and stressed to hit the gym or go running after work? If so, consider taking a walk.
Even though walking may seem slow and not painful enough to bring you any real benefits, walking is an activity that is not only beneficial, but can provide several benefits at once

Hey, there's a reason why folks in walking friendly towns (NYC, Boston, etc) are thin. Besides being decent exercise, it keeps your metabolism revving. Personally, walking is too slow for me, but I recognize the benefits.

Lance - Yeah, good point about walking friendly cities.
Ryan - Absolutely agree!

@Lance, that is definitely true for me. I live in a city (Barcelona) and I lost 20 pounds when I changed jobs to one I could walk to (instead of taking the Metro) -- without changing anything else in my daily routine!
Plus, walking the 12 minutes home every day for lunch helps me get out of the office and "disconnect", as the Spanish say. (Saving money on not eating out is just a great secondary effect!)
