Recently I unintentionally involved myself in a lengthy political debate with my mother.

A staunch conservative, my mom is obviously voting Republican. To this day she defends George Bush despite his track record as the WPE and she wastes no opportunity to forward me uplifting PSAs from decorated American soldiers behind the McCain-Palin ticket or some article about Read this author's blog.

I think what scares me most about Palin is that every time she is asked a question she immediately launches into a rambling, incoherent story. She clearly does not give much thought before she speaks and seems over-eager to look like she has an answer to everything.

Why are Democrats still trying to dig and scrape away at Palin? Because they are scared that she did what McCain expected her to do... Rile up the base conservatives that aren't huge fans of McCain being a moderate.

Quite frankly I'm still surprised that the Dems are falling into this experience trap! Why are you all still examining her experience!? She has more executive experience that Barack Obama! If you want to bring up his "executive experience" during his record setting long presidential run, you're forgetting that everyone he is working with in his campaign thinks he is Jesus, while She has worked with people who don't like her to accomplish a great deal in Alaska!

I admit that her experience is lacking, but I'd rather have her be a heartbeat away from the Presidency than someone with less experience in the Presidency. And I sure as hell don't want to set a precident that "it's the conservative/liberals turn."

"Executive experience" doesn't seem to mean anything. I think that's why we're so fascinated by it. No one can say what, exactly, "executive experience" is, and when they attempt to, they usually end up citing a bunch of things Palin doesn't know about and never did.

Example: deploying the national guard. Palin never got to make any decisions regarding it.

I think that before anyone buys this bunk, someone should define executive experience in a way that means something about someone's ability to not screw up diplomacy, the market, or allow the american people to be subjected to dire circumstances of any kind.
