Thanks for the post, Adam. Reading this was a great way to get my day started. I completely relate to how you felt time was just passing you by at Ernst and Young. I felt the same way about past jobs. Life's to short to just get by.

When I was little, I wanted to be a martyr when I grew up. Seriously. Talk about a misguided Catholic upbringing.
I majored in philosophy in college because I'd been plagued with finding purpose in life (Man's Search For Meaning was one of my favorites in high school) from perhaps too young an age. Even now, I blog about trying to find my passion. That seems to be the hard part for me - lots of passion, wondering where to direct it!
