Not Ready For a Pet of Your Own Yet? Try Fostering.

I’m sure many of you can relate to this situation—my family had a few cats growing up, and I’ve been considering getting one of my own for a long time (a little orange one), but always joked that I needed to learn how to take care of myself first.

Haha - that video is awesome! So tell me... what are the odds of you keeping Squirt? :) I feel like it'd be hard to take the little guy back after hanging out with him for two weeks...

Squirt sounds awesome. And what a great idea fostering a pet is.

People have no idea how big of a responsibility pets can be. My dog, Charlie (featured on Visible Advice today), owns my life. I never expected it to be this tough.

Keep us posted on your adventures together. I'm also interested to find out if you decide to keep the little guy around.

It's definitely a big decision, given that I've always wanted to travel and possibly live abroad in the future - having a pet would make me less mobile. But it could be hard to give him up, since the decision is so final.
