No matter what you’re cooking you have to be passionate about it. You can get away with a lack of passion and have things taste okay, but they never taste great.

One of the most important rules in blogging is to write about what you’re passionate about. If there’s no flare for writing about politics, don’t write about politics. Stick to what you’re good at and you’re bound to do great things.

I couldn't have said it better myself! Passion is definitely the key to accomplishing almost anything, including a great blog. I'm glad I listened to my passion when selecting a topic for my blog...It can be tempting to merely go with what will be most profitable in a monetary sense, but often we forget that there are greater benefits to be reaped in life other than money.
