3 RESPONSES TO "USE SELF REFLECTION TO GET SOME DIRECTION"

Seamus Anthony

I believe taking time out to really get "with" what it is you actually want/need and what you are and aren't prepared to do to get it is very important. You may want to be a world famous self-development person but if you are afraid of public speaking are you prepared to face this fear to get what you want?

You make a lot of sense. In addition to what you suggest, I constantly use a friend or listener in the process of self-reflection (sounds contrary, i know). It often helps me hear my own thoughts differently and with greater clarity. It also helps me get out of "thought loops" that I get stuck in sometimes.

Seamus - Great point. Understanding what you are and aren't willing to do is a great benefit of reflection.

Maya - I think using a listener is a great idea! Using feedback from others is a great way to know/understand yourself. Thanks for adding that.
