There’s a long history of penchant for immediate satisfaction. Every Gen Xer fell in love with the idea of an immediate Polaroid. Every Baby Boomer loved an immediate high. Millennials love the idea of an immediate promotion.

Immediate satisfaction makes me think of food. If I wait too long and really get hungry, it doesn't matter whether it's nutritious or 'junk' food. Nothing is safe or sacred. It's the problem with liking just about all kinds of food. It's food and I'm immediately satisfied.
