Paint your office. The color of rooms is so powerful that you can actually sway jury decisions based on it. Calm yourself down or rev yourself up, depending on what you need. And if you want more friends, try yellow.

6 RESPONSES TO "PAINT YOUR OFFICE"
I drink coffee first thing in the morning to jump start myself. I get a second jump with 'visual advice' every day thanks to the liberal use of vivid colors which is a good thing and something I look forward to. I'm reminded that there's other colors available other than the ones I see every day.
I so hate yellow. . . so, of course that would be a color that stimulates feelings of friendship.
I like sky blue -- I find it calming.
In college, I painted my walls green and orange. I don't know what kind of emotions those two colors together create, but it was ridiculous.
Everyone wanted to hang out in the orange and green room when it came to pre-partying. Needless to say, my room was always a mess. But fun.
In a world of cubicles, even up to the director level, your options maybe be cloth covered panels that resemble the same type of material used for a chair at a movie theater. Does that mean hang up nice colorful posters? What about my database diagrams... maybe print them out with colors as a bit of a geek art? Something's gotta break this sea of navy blue cubicles. Anyone have suggestions (framed pictures wont work, because pushpins wont hold them up)
AJ-you could always try the metal hangers they sell to hang Christmas wreaths over the door or...if you wanted to go HGTV, you could always use push pins to apply a colored fabaric over the bland cloth covered panels.
Note to self...must stop watching HGTV as those suggestions came way to easy for me.
My walls are currently a very light gray ... good for concentration and focused thought, not so good for actually accomplishing things.
I was hoping that you were going to pass along a little color psychology for us, as I am contemplating a re-paint to finish off a refurbishing of the room.
