In an interesting column in the New York Post, Iranian born journalist Amir Taheri discusses the release of a new book by who the man he calls al Qaeda’s chief theoretician, Sheik Abu-Bakar Naji.
I think Naji is working under a flawed notion. Nobody has been a better recruiter for Al Qaeda than Bush. While wiser Jihadists regret the backlash that 9/11 provoked, they still know that because of Bush's foreign policies, they were able to rally more to their cause.
I would semi agree with that except for the fact that we have all but squashed them, for a couple years there you were hearing about terrorists bombing schools, bus stations, train stations and other places all over the world (besides the middle east) and nowadays you hear more of the suicide bombings in Iraq, where you can't tell the good sunnis from the shiites.
