10 Ways to Relax Your Workspace

Does your workspace feel inviting or does it make you want to cringe? Remember, where we work, we live as well. Our desire to work should come out of a sense of passion and drive. But an unorganized or boring work environment will dramatically stunt our productivity.

It’s not just about how our workspace looks though, it’s how it feels that creates the feeling of a relaxing space. Even more, it’s how we work.

Add some nature. Photos, plants or even small aquarium. Watching nature videos at http://www.relaxwithnature.com can help to reduce stress too.

Another thing I've found is playing with the lighting. In my oh so exciting beige cubicle, which I still need to do more to, one of the things that I've found that helps is putting in a small table lamp.

Just being able to get some light that isn't fluorescent has been a huge improvement. I still have to put up with the overall lighting, but the small lamp helps warm the place up a bit.

Oh yes, I know the cringe of coming to work to my boring, gray cubicle. I agree with your tactics. I think adding living things (plants, flowers, maybe fish) can help too. Also, music can be a great thing to get you through the day.
