Dan, it's refreshing to hear how much thirsty you are to learn...instead of to drink. Better for the brain cells, long run and short run. I too, took the road less traveled (in my case, classmates puked on the train all the way from Nogales to Mazatlan), and am happy to have stayed conscious...on many levels. Kudos to you!
We won't be getting a "spring break" style week off for too much longer. Do what you want to do- whether that is volunteering, reading a book, partying, or getting some work done.
And I completely agree, you don't realize how much you can learn and accomplish in a week until you try something to better yourself and the people around you.

You're only young once, do what makes you happy.
I would argue you're missing out on the real good things in life by going to an island and drinking for a week.
You're only young once. Seems to me you're missing out.

This is great - you will find this happen more and more as you get deeper in your career and family. Its basically a re-prioritization of what's important. Time becomes much more important. You will find yourself not sleeping in on saturdays because you are "wasting" time; you will find yourself looking forward to a an early night in bed or watching a movie and relaxing; you will find getting some tasks done that have been staring you in the face for weeks a very rewarding experience.

Looks like we have something in common. I too spent my spring break working and spending some quality time on the couch. You're not alone Dan!

A man after my own heart. Time is to be used. Not wasted. :)

Thanks for the post.
I'm sorry you went to Windsor. That's something Michael Moore would do if he said he visited Canada for a movie thing.
Again, sorry.
