Tiffany, an excellent piece of advice for blogger of all stripes. I remember the thrill 4 years ago when my personal blog got its first comment. And I had been a journalist for a long whole before that. With blogs, it's personal.
Now, tons and tons of comments and posts later on both a personal and professional note, it's still important to get back to people and remind myself what it meant when I got my first comment.

I think that blogging is such a powerful platform for professionals that we need to truly take advantage of all it offers - we get so in focus on creating great content or promoting our site that it's easy to forget how truly powerful it is to connect through blogging.
